It’s been almost exactly 13 months since Chaz first sent over Toro Y Moi’s beautiful tracks “Blessa” and “Talamak.” In that time chillwave has become established and is continuing to influence many new artists who are taking it their own direction.

This week I interviewed Frank from one of my favorite new bands: Keepaway.
While he wouldn’t say which label, Frank did mention that the band was this close to signing with a label we’d all be familiar with. Specifically we were talking about Toro Y Moi, Memory Tapes and other Chillwave artists when he said “Based on the bands we’ve been talking about I think you’ll know them (the label).”
